Healing, Holding, and Honoring You
Closing the Bones Ritual
A sacred ritual of healing, honoring, and renewal after childbirth.
Bringing life into the world is a profound transformation — one that leaves lasting marks on the body, mind, and spirit. Closing the Bones is a traditional postpartum ceremony designed to nurture, heal, and honor this journey.
Rooted in ancient practices from Central and South America, this ritual offers mothers the opportunity to be gently "closed" — physically, emotionally, and energetically — after the great "opening" of pregnancy and birth.

What is Closing the Bones?
During pregnancy and childbirth, a woman's body opens in extraordinary ways — muscles, ligaments, and bones shift to make space for new life.
The Closing the Bones ritual is a way of lovingly bringing the body back to itself. Using a combination of rebozo techniques (a traditional woven cloth), massage, rocking, and wrapping, the ritual helps the body realign and the spirit feel whole again.
This ceremony is much more than physical — it is a deeply emotional and symbolic act of honoring your postpartum journey, whatever it has looked like.

How the Ritual Unfolds
Each Closing the Bones session with me is gentle, intuitive, and personalized. It may include:
-
A warm and nurturing environment in your own home
-
Guided breathwork to connect with your body and spirit
-
Abdominal and full-body massage to promote circulation, release tension, and support healing
-
Rebozo wrapping to bring a sense of closure, containment, and safety
-
Time for stillness, reflection, and emotional integration
This ceremony can be done weeks, months, or even years after birth. There is no "too late" — your journey is always worthy of being honored.

A Sacred Pause for You
In the whirlwind of caring for a new life, mothers often put their own healing aside. Closing the Bones offers you a sacred moment to pause, breathe, and be cared for — to mark the end of one chapter and the beginning of another with tenderness and intention.
